Hi, I’m Michael

I am an empathetic and thoughtful UX/UI Design professional passionate about making everyday tools work for everyday people. With years of experience working in Digital Marketing for clients and in-house, I am excited to start a new career chapter in the design world.

I’d be a great fit for Accenture because of my experience working in a fast paced agency setting, my ability to work in a cross-functional team, and my design thinking skills.

The first reason I’d be a great fit for Accenture is my experience working with clients. In my years working for Performics, a digital marketing agency, I worked as an associate and then manager, communicating with clients on a daily basis and managing long-term projects.

I’ve worked with large clients, including Bose, Allstate, and Devry University, managing strategy through fast paced times of year, such as the holiday season for Bose and Walgreens, where I worked in house(example to the left).

Through DesignLab’s UX Academy, I was able to work on 4 different fully scoped projects, seeing them from the research phase through to final high fidelity prototypes.

For my final project, an augmented reality furniture buying app, I worked hard to find solutions that would work for the user, and get the aesthetic design up to a professional standard. You can view the project here.

For another DesignLab project, I was able to work with a real local business in Chicago, conducting primary research with actual theater goers and and talking with the owner about the business’s goals.

The findings from this primary research helped me to create a user persona which would guide me as I ideated solutions, and I relished the opportunity to work on a real project with real people. You can see the final responsive designs as well as my full process here.

I would fit well into the culture at Accenture, because I’m a people person at heart. In both my personal and professional lives I pride myself in getting to know people on a genuine level, and building a rapport with everyone from friends to colleagues. This part of my nature shows in my hobbies, which include performing Improv and Music throughout the theaters of Chicago, as well as writing and performing sketch comedy. I can write a pretty good email too!
